A Russian plane has disappeared from radar just minutes after take-off from the Black Sea resort of Sochi, Russian media say.
They are quoting a source at the emergency ministry as saying the missing aircraft is a Tu-154.
Between 70 and 100 people are reported to be on board the plane.
Unconfirmed reports say the aircraft belongs to the defence ministry, flying to Syria's Latakia province.
Russian officials have so far made no comment.
Interfax news agency reports quoted a source as saying that the plane disappeared from radar 20 minutes after take-off at 05:20 local time (02:20 GMT).

Maybe improper de-icing.

Maybe so.
We bought one of those typical black fur (rabbit) hats with the fur ear flaps...and can be kept on with a tie under the chin. We bought it in China went it first opened up to us Americans way back in 1981.
It is WAY too warm to wear here. Wow.
The Russians know cold. I hope this pilot parachuted out and was wearing his woolies and rabbit fur Russian hat. BRRRRRRRR!!
I just read the article. Probably all died on board. How sad for them and their families, especially at this time of celebrating the birth of Jesus.
a spontaneous center fuel tank explosion?
Sochi isn’t that cold. It’s pretty close to Crimea, which is almost northern California-like in climate, at least at the lower elevations.
Yes. There are palm trees in Sochi.
The most common cause of Russian plane crashed is Russian planes. Prayers for the families. I predict Trump will reach out well before Obama does.
If it’s a defense ministry plane, it’s a military target.

The ministry said the plane was carrying the famous Alexandrov military band for a concert at the Russian air base in Syria.
