Completely constitutional. The constitution says state legislature can choose and instruct their elector college voters however they want. Doesn’t have to involve voting at all, they can directly assign, they can draw lots, or they can pin it on the results of the national election.
It essentially turns those states into vassals of NYC and California.
Totally the same as canceling the votes in those states even if the other candidate wins the most votes there!
And if Hillary had won the electoral vote we would be hearing absolutely nothing from the knee jerk reaction crybabies......
It’s not unconstitutional. The states can appoint electors however they want. For instance, the NY state legislature can require electors to vote for the republican candidate if the Bills win the Super Bowl.
