Is Islam a religion? I contend that it is not.
If it is a religion, it is a false religion.
It depends on what "is" is... or in this case, what you think religion is.
For me, and probably you, religion is about the unseen, and comes with a strong moral code of conduct. But it also means a system of unquestioned, deeply held beliefs.
Is Marxism a religion? It claims to be atheistic, but fulfills the unquestioned belief criterion.
Many leftists, including our own, aren't satisfied by traditional religions and seek to satisfy their religious needs in politics. Islam combines religious trappings with a plan for political conquest.
There are people who find religion in it. But for many, it is the thrill of looting, conquest, and power that attracts. That's why I've always said that Islam is a particularly dangerous thing in prison. You take people with a propensity for violence and criminality, and tell them that if they exhibit some discipline with in the new Islamic community, everyone outside the Ummah is fair game.
So, for me, Islam isn't a theological religion, but I can see that it serves the obsessive impulses that many theological religions pick up in their fringe sects.
From my perspective, it is a totalitarian political system with religious underpinnings.
It would be a different story if it was just a religion.
But you’re right, it’s not. It’s a method of domination, proselytization by force, which necessitates governments (monopolies of force) to adopt it and reject any other competing worldviews.
Islam is a division is Satan’s army. Like Marxism, socialiam, etc.
These guys may have a competitive spirit among themselves; after all they’re led by demons. but they know who their real enemy is.
This is exactly the wrong question. Just as a deadly parasite may share similarities with a symbiotic kin; it doesn’t matter.
The true threat is Wahhabism—the Islamic sect promoted by our “ally,” Saudi Arabia. Regardless of taxonomy, to destroy the threat, this sect must be eradicated.
