I never heard Trump accuse Limbaugh of being in the tank for Cruz and that's not what I said. Here's who DID say that Limbaugh endorsed Cruz: NewsMax. Breitbart and a lot of other pretty reliable conservative news outlets reported it, too, I'm surprised you missed it.
I'll boil it down for you: Rush supported a less-conservative candidate who was soft on illegal-immigration. For that reason, Rush can no longer be trusted.
Rush did the bidding of Chuck Schumer and Roger Ailes and called his own loyal listeners who questioned his phony two facedness (He calls him Chuck U Schumer to his audience) HATERS. Hell no, you can’t trust Rush. And he never once in 8 years mentioned Obama’s citizenship problem or that other broadcasters who mentioned it were being seriously threatened.
People always blab that Rush is so smart, smarter than Hannity. Well, Hannity got out a lot of the word on some of these subjects his bosses also told him not to mention, but he sneaked it to his listeners any way he could. I trust that Hannity is who he is on air to Schumer et al, sure he would be nice and kind to him in private, but he wouldn’t kiss his ass like Limbaugh does in private and then ream his own audience when they find out.
Just maybe the writer for Newsmax and the writer for
Breitbart are just as ignorant about Limbaugh’s history
as you. And, you and the Newsmax/Breitbart writers can’t
explain why so many Cruz fans claimed Limbaugh was in
the tank for Trump from the onset of the campaign.
Further, if Limbaugh is so anti Trump then why is he
spending so much of his program defending him now?
Now, here is a factoid you should come to grips with.
If you’re going to hate Limbaugh then hate him for
valid reasons. He sticks up for all levels of
conservatives against liberal attacks and he will
stick up for a conservative when he thinks they
have been attacked unfairly by a fellow conservative.
Limbaugh has never seen his job as picking one
candidate in the primaries and sticking with that
candidate. I don’t give a shit what Breitbart or
Newsmax says. None of those young punks has listened
as long as I have. If you let your common sense take
over for a minute you would understand that from a
business standpoint it doesn’t make sense for Rush
to piss off so much of his target audience. No
way in the world for Limbaugh to play all sides
against the middle and get away with it for over
thirty years. Tell me who is holding his feet
to the fire for all the hateful things he said
about Trump during the primary season?
