They did this in Massachusetts a few months ago. Eventually the whole nation will do away with tollbooths. But not tolls! Expect every highway in the nation to electronically charge for usage.
Not to mention the fact that government will have detailed records of where your car has been and when..

Israel has had this photo system for years on their one toll road. I don't believe they ever had any sort of EZ-Pass system.
