After more than a year of delays, Texas is officially kicking Planned Parenthood out of the states Medicaid program.
In a move that could affect thousands of low-income women, state health officials on Tuesday delivered a final legal notice to defund the organization from the Medicaid program through which it provides family planning and womens health services to the poor. Planned Parenthood had previously received $3.1 million in Medicaid funding, but those dollars will be nixed in 30 days, according to the notice which was obtained by The Texas Tribune.
That cut-off day will only be delayed if the organization appeals the state's decision in the next 15 days by requesting an administrative hearing with the Texas Health and Human Services Commission. But Planned Parenthood officials say they will instead turn to the courts to block the cuts.
The very concept of a “family planning” service is a fraud.
Nobody goes to PP to make a plan.
Agreed! We have sodomized the laws of mother nature for the benefit of “those who cannot care for themselves”. Well, some serious inspection is needed on those who “need” help. Many of them can rot.
I'm sorry, who? Don't recognize the name. Sounds like some kind of foreigner.
A federally funded law breaking organization. Texas is right and I hope other states follow suit.
As Ben Carson said during the campaign, if Obamacare is so great, why do we need Planned Parenthood?
After all, they say 99% of their services are not abortion related, so if that’s the case, let the women go anywhere that accepts Obamacare.
No body parts to sell means more lost revenue. Good.
A twofer, the way I see it.
Amen.
May G-d bless the state of Texas for doing the right thing..may we all be protected in its merit
Ms. Richards’ daughter is not going to like this!

Not to worry..... the great state of Texas still provides for those who need it.
Abortion Barbie could return to her “Republicanism” and run again for something.
TX already knows it can do what it planned when Obamatard was prez, and he couldn’t do a damn thing to stop it.
If Planned Parenthood is so concerned about the poor people, why don’t they provide their services for free?
Unplanned parenthood wants to kill all babies in order to depopulate the earth. According to it founder, Maggie Sanger, she particularly wanted to kill black babies and was a favored speaker at large Ku Klux Klan rallies in the 1930s. You can go see her pictures with just a simple google. Even today, the murder chambers are strategically located near black neighborhood and do really well there. This seems to be missed by the maudlin left.
For starters, Good on Texas!
That said, I’m always so torn on this issue. Granted, I’d like no woman to NEED an abortion, but it is what it is. Accidents happen at all income strata; there but for the Grace of G-d go I!
But, unless there ARE abortions, we’re all on the hook for these b@stard children for the entirety of THEIR natural lives...and only RARELY do we get one that ends up being a productive member of Society, versus being a drag on Society.
And seemingly, these women should have all the birth control available to them through taxpayer dollars they can swallow to KEEP from getting pregnant.
I don’t have any answers, other than to thank a DEMOCRAT and all feckless RINOs for this EXPENSIVE, never-ending, generational national nightmare!
*SHRUG*
Yes!
Defund PP, ban abortion, and require PP to provide Christian counseling to any woman who even mentions that she might want an abortion. That’d be the big trifecta in my book!
And yes I'm looking for a reason to use this tool to try to halt judicial over reach, preferably a good reason.
That’d be another front on which conservatives could attack these devils. Go for it! They’ve been dreaming up all these little underhanded ways to attack us unabated for 50+ years. Way past time to hit back (and I’m sure Donald Trump is going to show us the way) Can’t wait!
