Michelle Obama’s Grudge: Some Didn’t Support the Obama Presidency When He Took Office
Breitbart ^ | December 20, 2016 | Charlie Spiering

Posted on 12/20/2016 2:24:21 PM PST by COUNTrecount

First Lady Michelle Obama complained that despite her willingness to assist in a smooth transition for the Trump administration, she felt that Republicans in Washington D.C. never gave her husband a chance.

“[N]o matter how we felt going into it, it is important for the health of this nation that we support the commander-in-chief,” she said in an interview with Oprah Winfrey aired on CBS. “Wasn’t done when my husband took office.”

The First Lady blamed Republicans for not backing Obama, accusing them of hurting the country.

“[T]here were people who did not support his presidency,” Obama recalled. “There were people in Congress. There were leaders in Congress who did not support his presidency, which was not something that was good for the country. It was good for politics, but it wasn’t good for the country. And that wasn’t the right way to approach it.”

Obama reminded the country that the pair came into office when it was on the “brink of collapse.” She said it was clear that Americans needed more levity from their leaders.

“Americans needed a little joy and we were the joy-masters,” she said.

Some did not support the Washington presidency either. Not very many, but a few.

They’ve extinguished hope for the future of the democrat party...so indeed hope is lost - for them.

Those kill joys who didn’t support her husband also would have opposed V. Lenin, J. Stalin, and Mao.

“Some were bright enough to recognize just how bad he would be before his first (s)election.”

I have to admit that I have never been disappointed by Obama simply because I spotted him as a disaster in the making long before the ‘08 election. you can’t be disappointed by someone of whom you expected disaster and only disaster.

There was even the Lion of the Senate Teddy Kennedy that attempted to conspire with the Soviets to defeat Reagan...but that wasn’t treasonous, right?

Rush and some of us wanted him to fail. I’m fine with that

Count me in on that. If bammy was successful it would be the USA would not be the USA.

“[N]o matter how we felt going into it, it is important for the health of this nation that we support the commander-in-chief,”

Just a personal beef -- but can people please stop using "commander-in-chief" as a general term for the president? The term refers to a specific function of the president. I am not in the military. I don't have a commander-in-chief. Outside of that specific context, commander-in-chief sounds like too much like "El Comandante."

Yes and whatever one may think of W’s presidency I cannot think of a single pathetic, self pitying comment that he ever made. I still remember that he had enough humility to stand on a chow line and serve food to some of our military. I cannot imagine anyone named Obama ever doing anything approaching that for pure class.

Obama ditches promise of ‘smooth and efficient’ transition to Trump

Washington Times ^ | December 8, 2016 | Dave Boyer

FR Posted by broken_arrow1

President Obama is dishing out a much rockier transfer of power to Donald Trump than he received from his predecessor eight years ago, from accusing the president-elect of being aided by Russian hackers to first lady Michelle Obama’s complaint that the nation has lost hope. Despite pledging a “smooth and efficient” transition on the day after Mr. Trump’s victory, Mr. Obama has presided over an increasingly acrimonious war of words between the White House and the president-elect’s team.

The awkward transfer of power stands in stark contrast to the cooperative atmosphere fostered by Republican George W. Bush’s White House in 2008, when Mr. Obama was preparing to take office. Obama advisers still talk about the example of unity.

The Obama administration’s bitterness and disappointment over Hillary Clinton’s loss erupted into the open last week as the president’s spokesman, Josh Earnest, accused Mr. Trump for four consecutive days of encouraging Russia’s suspected meddling in the election and ignoring the ramifications.

“Earnest seems to want to delegitimize the election,” said Republican strategist John Feehery. “It’s very dangerous and seemingly counter to the wishes of the president.”

Former Obama adviser David Axelrod went further, saying it was “highly unlikely” that the White House press secretary would take a week’s worth of verbal shots at Mr. Trump without the president’s approval.

Obama reminded the country that the pair came into office when it was on the "brink of collapse."

The 2008 financial crisis was a manufactured crises arising from the policies of Bill and Hillary Clinton, Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, and other progressive libs like your husband. Your husband only added to the collapse by doubling our country's national debt, assuring that our children will have no quarter. The loyal opposition to Obama did not commit any physical violence, like Obama/Hillary voters are doing to us. We do disagree with virtually everything has says and does, just as we disagree with Saul Alinsky, Bill Ayers, and Satan. Oh, and don't think is has anything to do with racism!

Besides the interaction with Joe the Plumber over income redistribution, I was digging in when he said we would have a ‘government guided’ invisible hand now.
