“it is an article of faith that FBI director James Comey cost HRC the presidency” Usually the false premise comes at the beginning if the article. They must be getting smarter to put it in later.

I think these people had better rethink the definition of Smart.
One thing to consider is success is a result of being smart.
Another thing for them to consider is Actions speak louder than words. They talk a mile a minute but when it’s time to act...Failure!

Hillary and the Democrats lost the lelection the day she uttered the words, “...Basket of Deplorables”. Up to that point, Trump support was out there, but it was fractured, and hidden.
But that statement, which focus-grouped VERY well with the media and lesbians, designed to be played like the racist card, made it CLEAR to anyone not living in the liberal la-la bubble just how ARROGANT these people really were.
It was a coordinated, oft-repeated, pre-prepared talking point that blow up like a nuclear bomb in their faces.

As I’ve said before, Hillary lost because too many people came to see what she really is. A combination of every fault and corruption but lacking even minimal sincerity or principles.

An excellent article, and thanks for posting. Yes, this does shed a lot of light on how ostensible political professionals could possibly have missed the Trump tide. It was a combination of weaponized polls that were taken as gospel and an over-reliance on modeling that was not adjusted to reflect current data. And yes, that'll do it.
The candidate has to listen and act, though, and before pointing too many fingers at the staff for professional malpractice we have to consider that deaf ears and stubborn arrogance are equally deadly. Could be both here.

Horse puckey. The had all their voter fraud in place in the large cities, but didn’t count on the turnout in suburbs where they voted against Hillary.

The Clinton candidate was too scarily dishonest, creepily insane, and palpably incompetent to win.
That said, I only scanned the article; and that brief exposure was nearly nauseating.

The author's numbers need to be updated:
Trump total margin of victory in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania - less than 80,000.
Total votes cast - almost 137 million.
Also of interest:
2012 - Obama Total Votes - 65.9 million
2016 - Clinton Total Votes - 65.8 million

3. Shirking responsibility for the loss
