For the first time in 20 years, no Washington, DC, marching band will perform in the presidential inauguration.

The bands that have performed at the last five inaugural parades — plus all other local groups — have not applied to participate in President-elect Donald Trump’s swearing-in ceremony, NBC 4 Washington reports.

“I think everybody knows why and no one wants to say and lose their job,” Howard University band director John Newson, whose band marched for President Obama’s swearing-in ceremony in 2009, told the local news affiliate.

A rep for the DC public schools told NBC 4 she didn’t know a single band that had applied for what used to be considered a prestigious gig.

“Sounds like the kids decided their values didn’t permit them to celebrate Trump’s values. I applaud their willingness to stand up for America,” said Howard Dean, a former chairman of the Democratic National Committee.

It is not the kids you turd, it is the so called adults in charge who are acting like kids, and having a temper tantrum.
Very sad that the kids have to suffer , because of these people acting like this.
Anyway there are many more bands which would love to march, and do have adults in charge.

I was wrong in predicting significant violence at Trump rallies throughout the summer and fall. I think anti-Trump demonstrators were mainly told to stand down after their early troublemaking began to risk bad press coverage. (Well, not so much bad press coverage, but people seeing the violence and arriving at their own conclusions that the Democrats were acting like thugs.)

But once the Electoral College vote is in, the left will have nothing to lose, and I expect them to make good on their threat to try to "shut down the inauguration." It could get very ugly.

If there was a Christian marching band, then gay activists would try to hire them for a gay wedding, just so they could sue if they refused (and if they accepted, the gays would just cancel once they accepted).
