My father’s family headed to western Indiana in 1846.My father moved to Cleveland to work on the railroad.Then Mom and Dad bought this farm about 45 miles Southwest of Cleveland.Funny thing is the family moved from Germany because the men got tired of being impressed into the Prussian army.Got here and settled ust in time for the Civil War,and we’ve been in every war since then.

My mother’s father left Prussia in the 1880’s to come to America. He was a Prussian naval officer and did not like the direction he could see that Bismarck was going.
