Dems grapple with lessons from Clinton disaster (Freeper input needed)

Democrats are grappling with how to draw the right lessons - and avoid the wrong ones - after an extraordinary presidential election.

Hillary Clinton's loss to Donald Trump is an unmitigated disaster for Democrats, who want to ensure nothing like it happens again. But Clinton’s popular-vote lead over Trump is so large that it complicates the question of how to recalibrate for future elections.

[Snip]

"Everybody can point to something that went wrong - and they’re right," he said. "It makes it impossible to know what the party really needs to do.

"The [Bernie] Sanders people believe, if only we had been more populist we'd have won, and they're right. The Hillary people believe, if only Bernie hadn't attacked her so hard in the primary we'd have won, and they're right. Everybody's right."

Adding another explosive ingredient to the mix, The Washington Post reported Friday that the CIA now believes Russia intervened in the election to help Trump win. The story clearly has some distance left to run.

Meanwhile, the immediate direction of the Democratic Party is further complicated because it has no obvious leader with the exception of President Obama, who will leave office in less than six weeks.

I suggest they elevate George Soros to DNC Chair (he owns it already) and redouble their admiration of Lenin. They need money, wisdom and the strength this will project.

Americans will come to them in droves and they can receive the admiration they rightly deserve.

Absent NY and California, Hillary lost the popular vote by 7 million. I hope the democrats keep believing that the ideology of California and NY is their path to success.

Any serious moron knows that the only way Hillary one the popular vote, was through California, and all the illegals. She quit Ohio...and lost. She quit Michigan...and lost. Every state she quit in, she lost.

The people rejected her.

The people rejected Obama

INSPITE of all the fraud and manipulations that TEHY DID accomplish.

I have no doubt the Democrat Party is corrupt. To start with the Democrats stacked the deck for Hillary. She was going to win the nomination at all cost. The Democrats are a machine second to none including the old Mafia.Next I hope Americans are smart enough to never allow the Electoral College to be gotten rid of. We need to make it even stronger.Votes in America are still sold. We give the working Americans money away to illegals and people who will not work while turning our backs on Social Security that those who work for.Folks that do not work and illegals play the system while the working class pay for it.This is the way of Communism and people buying power instead of working. Think about it please. In my opinion the Democrat Party is Evil and out to destroy America the way it was created.

'But Clinton’s popular-vote lead over Trump is so large that it complicates the question of how to recalibrate for future elections."

And this is why the Left won't figure it out (which I'm doubtful they're trying to do in the first place).

Two million extra votes in California and the NYC-DC corridor does not reflect the sentiments in other areas of the country as a whole.

At best, the Left is going to try and reconfigure how they lie, along with attempts to shut down opposing points of view.

They should continue blaming Russia for all their problems. Russia did it! Russians are coming! We must nuke the Russians! They can consult with McBackstabber and his girlfriend, Ms. Lindsay on why WWIII is a good idea.

First of all, take a look at the election results by county. Pick a candidate who doesn’t look at the people in these locations as deplorables, as irredeemable, as people to be marginalized and destroyed.

But Clinton’s popular-vote lead over Trump is so large that it complicates the question of how to recalibrate for future elections.

Democrats continue to be clueless about why they lost so badly. The popular vote count is NOT how the presidential elections are won. Let them continue in denial, and let them use the popular vote count as a "win" for their side. FACT remains that, the national election was not run with the idea that the winner of the popular vote, wins the presidency. That's not the campaign that was run. The campaigns were running to get the most electoral college vote counts. If the election had been about winning the popular vote, Hillary would very likely have lost that too. Hillary's win of the popular vote was only because of California's votes and NY's votes. If the election was about the popular vote count, Trump would have campaigned in those states too, and California would not have gone as big as it did for Hillary, and neither would NY and the other states which were "gifted" to her because Trump didn't even bother to campaign there.

But, it's a win going forward for republicans if the democrats insist that they can "rest on their laurels" because of Hillary's "win" of the popular votes. Denial will keep them from winning future elections.

My advice:

* They didn’t go far enough left. Jump past Bernie and look to Mao, Marx, and Castro for a message.

* They were too easy on whites and Christians and other enemies of the state. Look to Stalin, Hitler and other heroes that really knew how to deal with disagreement.

* They weren’t honest enough about the problem of inequality. They need to show pictures of Venezuela and Cuba and let us know that it’s possible for EVERYONE to live the same, even doctors and CEOs (except the political elite)

* They were too hard on criminals and lax on gun control. They should use South Chicago to show how the entire country should look with criminals not being jailed (because of race) and strict (beyond common sense) gun control.

I truly hope they take my advice. It is in line with their leaders’ (not D voters) core beliefs so they will unless their goal is to win by lying.

Lessons the Democrats will learn:

They need to go even further to the left.

Transgenders using certain bathrooms is the most important issue on the mind of voters.

Americans love global warming schemes that redistribute wealth to 3rd world countries.

Americans want illegal immigrants to take even more American jobs.
