You just knew this was coming
Republican leader Mitch McConnell warned today he will not pass Donald Trumps tax cuts.
Senate Majority Leader McConnell has a different plan. Bloomberg.com reported:
President-elect Donald Trumps race to enact the biggest tax cuts since the 1980s went under a caution flag Monday as Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell warned he considers current levels of U.S. debt dangerous and said he wants any tax overhaul to avoid adding to the deficit.
I think this level of national debt is dangerous and unacceptable, McConnell said, adding he hopes Congress doesnt lose sight of that when it acts next year. My preference on tax reform is that it be revenue neutral, he said.

Republicans don’t want to jump start the economy??
It would do more to reduce the deficit than government spending.
And it is revenue-neutral. What happened to Republican being tax-cutters?

Can anyone remind me one thing McConnell objected to, in the way of Obama’s excessive spending?

Paul Ryan says they are almost to revenue neutral with tax plan.
Easier to get through senate is reveNuevo neutral.
To: Eric in the Ozarks
The same McConman so concerned about the deficit never reduced government spending the first two years he was Majority Leader.
Now he talks.

Precisely. He never even tried to rein in Obama’s runaway spending.

I’d be rethinking Mrs. Turtle’s appointment.
