I agree. There were all kinds of absurd rumors such as Trump was running to help Hillary. Trump was the first one to have the courage to attack political correctness. I doubt any of the other candidates could have defeated Hillary.

sadly enough, you are correct. Any of the other Pub candidates would have been crushed like bugs by the onslaught of the enemedia. Only President Trump could have put together the unique winning coalition that he put together.
Does anyone really believe that people would have crawled across broken glass to vote for Yeb! or that Cruz would have attracted independents and Democrats to vote for him? I don’t think so. Pretty much everyone but the die-hard “true conservatives” would have run away from Cruz screaming at the top of their lungs. And as for the rest, would have been the biggest GOP defeat in history.
