Electors are literally anyone selected by their party. There is no national standard for their qualification or selection. There is no official duty they have other than to follow their state's laws regarding voting for the winner of the presidential election in their state.

The idea that they are suddenly well read and highly talented statesman deserving some kind of classified security briefing is absurd.

The whole "bipartisan" letter thing is another joke. It is signed by 8 dimorats and one "republican" who refuses to follow the laws of his own state, Texas. The effort for that letter was driven by the daughter of the leader of the dims in the house, piglosi.

Anybody who does the most rudimentary research can see this is nothing more than fake news posing as some kind of constitutional crisis.
