Traction on my 1964 Corvair Monza was phenomenal. During the 1967 snow storm in Chicago, I was able to make it home, while most of my co-workers got stuck on the road or stayed overnight at the plant. And my corvair never needed snow tires!

Growing up, we lived at the bottom of a big valley which was on top of a big hill/mountain. When the police chief lived on our street, it got plowed pronto. Otherwise, it was a complete disaster.

We and several of our neighbors owned corvairs, which we all loved so much. That little car would whip around all the other vehicles which were stuck in the middle of the road, trying to get up the hill. Oh, the memories.
