“really just disrespected me, and I felt awful,”
Santa did? He dissed you? How horrible?
Follow the accepted standards of behaviors of your neighborhood and go home, get your 9mm, come back and shoot Santa!
You gotta be a real lard-ass to get called out by Santa for being too fat. I ain’t never seen a skinny Santa.
Maybe the kid’s parents hate him and want him to suffer before dieing at an early age.
The last time I sat in Santa’s lap, I was 35. It was mandatory for all at my former firm’s Christmas party, and with very sizable bonuses at stake, most of us sucked up the humiliation. It was gruesome.
I have no memory of believing in Santa. Ever, at any age. Well before I was of the age of reason I understood what Christmas is really all about, and was perfectly fine with it. I think it’s fine for toddlers, but why anyone would want to infantilize pre-adolescents is beyond me.
Am I a bad person for laughing so hard my big fat belly is shaking like a bowl full of jelly?
And how many glasses of bourbon have been left on mantels all over the world (they were at my house) for Santa? Surely he’s over .08 driving that sleigh.
All of those of you who think that the dude who puts
on the Santa Claus costume and volunteers unsolicited
dietetic advice is some kind of a hero deserve a liberal
kick in the ass because that kind of shit is right out
of the busybody libtard playbook.
Aren’t you special.
So you prefer sexualizing them as our whole society seems to? Out of the 2 I’d rather the former.
He’s lucky Santa wasn’t an Anthony Weiner type, asking him if he ever saw a naked gladiator. That would get a pass by the media.
And they are just piling on. How chivalrous. And standing up for a rude Santa. Absurd.
Too bad they have been indoctrinated in the idea of “it’s all your fault” when you’re fat. (But no-one says “wow, you take care of yourself” when you’re thin.)
Fatness is often a genetic issue. Some people just cannot get “normal”. Others cannot get fat (my father’s family is an extraordinary example of this, and I myself have partly inherited that). Some can lose weight easily but also gain back easily.
So we can gripe and self-righteously declare that fat people aren’t being good or working hard enough, but the truth is that is only half the picture.
“This from a guy who eats like 10 million cookies in one night.”
Yeah, but he is traveling faster than the speed of light that night, so just imagine how many calories he burns.
“Of course there is at least some chance his dad is no longer there...”
I’d say a pretty good chance, since we are reading an article about the mom whining about the incident, instead of an article about the dad getting locked up for punching Santa in the kisser.
So that’s the white race?
Or maybe, Ivonics.
Santa is handing out Truth for Christmas.
That is what we call the fallacy of the false dilemma.
You really want to make the sick and stupid argument that declining to indulge and promote infantile behavior in children who’re intellectually and emotionally past that stage is equivalent to sexualizing them? So as soon as children cease to believe in Santa they become sexual agents? That is what I call perverted.
Huh?
In my earlier post I mentioned how it would be nice for children to be children - yes, all the way up to 10! - instead of corrupted by so-called “adult” behaviors (immorality in its various forms) so prevalent in everything they are made to see and hear all year. Too many kids are sexualized and cussing and dabbling in drugs and alcohol.
So no, no longer believing in Santa does not mean they are sexualized (not “sexual agents”). Not at all what I meant.
Sounds like good advice
Oh. So it’s only when I say it, then? Because your accusation is impossible to read any other way. You are the one who raised the matter of sexualizing children — and you did so as a way of opposing my objection to their infantilization. Own your words.
Good thing Santa was in a disguise.
“Ma’am, have you seen Mr. Santa Claus? We have a subpoena to serve him.”
“I believe he’s returned to the North Pole.”
