Yep, I did that. Scraped enough change together that week to get some margarine to put on it, and I already had some salt... but for a few days the meal was potatoes.

Potatoes are very nutritious.

Add on a glass of milk for protein and fat with some greens and you have a complete meal that will keep you going.

In fact that was pretty much what the Irish lived on.
