Reminds me of the Democratic Party presidential primary in Kentucky this year. Hillary Clinton squeaked out a narrow victory, and all the Bernouts started shrieking about a recount. The recanvass happened and Sanders lost by a bigger margin.
you can’t give democrats time after the election count to plant votes and fill out more absentee ballots to be “found” that were not counted and modify voting machines to get ready for a recount which they file for just under the deadline for filing.
These articles are all worthless because they are so very outdated.
The recount goes on, and it’s going pretty fast. In about 3 hours the state will release another spreadsheet showing results as of midnight last night.
Based on progress to date (the last spreadsheet showed 60% of the state’s 2.9 million votes have been recounted) today’s spreadsheet (reflecting recount up to midnight last night (Tuesday)) will likely show about 75% of the state done.
At this rate they will finish by or during this coming weekend. The 99% rule probably comes into play where the final 1% takes longer than because it is hard to read ballots, or something like that, but in general this weekend is a reasonable expectation of completion.
