Stein is not paying a dime in MI, except for her lawyer fees. MI law stipulates that taxpayers pay for recounts. That law will be changed ASAP, as I understand it.

That law is ridiculous and probably very old. Maybe from when candidates did not ask for recount for NO FREAKIN REASON.

But the fed judge who let the recount start early said the state could take it’s actual expenses out of her fee!

From the fed judge's order, at the bottom of page 5:
"in the event that the recount is canceled for whatever reason, Stein’s filing fee will be made available to the extent necessary to cover all expenses. "
