Day 5 of the Wisconsin recount continued the pattern on previous days, as Donald Trump extended his Election Day lead over Hillary Clinton by a couple dozen votes.
Trump leads Wisconsin by about 22,000 votes. So far, data from the Wisconsin recount as of December 5 shows that little is changing. The major candidates have each gained a smattering of votes in municipalities around the state as a variety of errors are found, but nothing has changed in significant enough numbers to upend the election. Not even close. Trump and Clinton have also each lost votes in communities throughout the state, basically making any gains and losses a wash.
Here are the specific totals:
Trump has lost 302 votes.
Trump has gained 386 votes.
Trump net vote gain by Day 5: 84 votes
Clinton has lost 293 votes.
Clinton has gained 351 votes.
Clinton net vote gain by Day 5: 58 votes
Trump total net gain: 26 votes
The Wisconsin Election Commission posts daily recount results. Wisconsin has until December 13 to complete the recount. The Day 5 spreadsheet shows that many counties, including populous ones, are nowhere near completing their recounts. The Electoral College meets on December 19. The Day 5 results contain all of the previous days tallies also. Green Party candidate Jill Stein paid $3.5 million for the Wisconsin recount, alleging unproven fraud

I never saw a shred of evidence in support of this outrageous claim.
Dear God PLEASE!!!!
WHEN???
Since WI was certified it is a given fact the absentee ballots were all taken into acct as were the provisional ballots. Had the total of these two types of ballot equaled more than the margin between Trump and Clinton they all would have been opened and tallied before the certification.
So even if ALL of the absentee and provisional ballots gone to Clinton (almost impossible)it still would have left her short.
Putin was a very busy man obviously.
The States should defund the left by 10X for this waste of resources.
They are that desperate.
Wait a minute! I thought there would be no recount!! I thought we were gonna move on now that America has spoken and elected Trump president! I mean how many of these votes are by people who are dead or alive or hold citizenship!?!?!?!?
II’m shocked that Dane County, “the Fairyland of the Dairyland” has released their results. Usually they wait until the eleventh hour to adjust their results to “meet” the number of votes needed.
EODGUY
All absentee and provisional ballots have already been counted and certified They have yet to be REcounted. It is important to give factual information, as your statement implied potentially thousands of votes not counted at all.
Not sure what you are saying. Person to whom I was responding seem to be concerned that the as yet uncounted, as far as to whom the vote went provisional and absentee ballots, could somehow tilt the race and give Clinton Victory. My point was that the total number of all absentee and provisional balances or not enough even if they all went to Clinton to change the outcome of the race.
Everytime they count Milwaukee wards Hillary falls further behind
ATTENTION:
Wisconsin board of elections has just posted an updated spreadsheet.
This appears to be through midnight last night (Monday night).
I see on the spreadsheet 1,746,943 now having been recounted. This is over 60% of the 2.9 million votes to be recounted.
Repeat— Wisconsin is over 60% complete in their recount.
I now see reports from Madison (Dane County) wards appearing. No significant variance from election day night results.
Some of the Milwaukee County (Milwaukee City) wards are now updating to 100% in that their absentees must have been counted and show no particular variance from election day night.
There are some freepers with better Excel skills than mine so I’ll let them do the absentee exclusions (for wards who have posted partial results pending their absentees).
My total vote count is accurate. Over 60% of the 2.9 million have been recounted. These cheeseheads are going to hit their deadline.
Your words: “Had the total of these two types of ballot equaled more than the margin between Trump and Clinton they all would have been opened and tallied before the certification.”
These words were at best poorly chosen. All of the ballots you were referring to WERE opened prior to certification of the election, WERE validated or invalidated per the Election Code, and WERE counted. Not WOULD have, WERE. Not because they might have made a difference, but because the Law says they have to be counted. ALWAYS.
There is a frustrating urban legend going around that absentee and provisional ballots are not counted if there’s not enough to make a difference in the outcome. THIS HAS NEVER BEEN THE CASE. All ballots including absentee and validated provisional ballots are counted before certification in EVERY election, EVERY time, EVERYWHERE in the USA.
Okay, I see what you’re saying. What I meant to say and it looks like I didn’t is that the number of ballots unopened on Election Day and into the evening as they counted we’re not enough in total to affect the race, given the difference between the winner Donald Trump and the loser Hillary Clinton.
For that reason it was unnecessary for them to be included in the tally at that time.
