Raleigh, N.C. After weeks of bitterly contesting the results of the gubernatorial election, Republican Gov. Pat McCrory on Monday conceded the race to Democratic Attorney General Roy Cooper.
McCrory issued a video statement, saying the state needs to unite behind Cooper moving forward.
"Despite continued questions that should be answered regarding the voting process, I personally believe that the majority of our citizens have spoken, and we now should do everything we can to support the 75th governor of North Carolina, Roy Cooper," he said in the statement.

North Carolina votes for pervs in the little girl’s room.
and the Velvet Mafia claims another scalp
Barf!
I am so disappointed. NC will regret this.
Do dems ever concede? I know hillary did but she’s taken that back.
Pizza party :/
Very disappointing.
Then they didn't do a very good job of it, considering the Republican legislature that passed the law got reelected and still hold a veto proof margin, so that law won't be going anywhere no matter who the Governor is....
“So our little girls will never feel safe when they go to the restroom. But hey, we get to keep the NBA All-Star Game!”
Why give up?
Sad.
how close was this?
what about the margin of fraud?
Keep in mind recount NOT = to audit which is really needed. Esp Durham county where 90,000 came in in extended hours.
How disappointing, now the rainbow warriors will declare that the NC governor’s race was more important than the Presidency and they can celebrate by marching pervs into women’s bathrooms and persecuting all who oppose them.
First Republican not to get a second Governor term. Well at least we did wonderful everywhere else in the country. And North Carolina has both state houses. Not much will change.
When a friend of mine contacted a voter fraud investigative organization with proof of illegals voting in NC, this was the reply, From what we can ascertain, the Republican party will not go within ten thousand feet of the non-citizen voting issue. They have blocked us or denied us access to information at every level when we go down that road. Honestly, when it comes to that issue, they disgust me more than the Democrats do.
That being said, if it can't be proven that they stink - or, more metaphorically, where the stink came from - he's probably wise to walk away while he still has plenty of political capital to spend, elsewhere.
We'll see him again in the Trump Administration, I'd bet. Or, in politics at a national level.
and they can celebrate by marching pervs into womens bathrooms and persecuting all who oppose them. .... yeah....probably not so much. Maybe in Chapel Hill (otherwise known as Berkley East) and Charlotte. In the rural rest of the state, though? Heh. It will be handled, "locally". :-)
He should have Jill Stein request a recount. /sarc
