What worries me is that something will happen with the election similar to what has happened with that pipeline near the Indian reservation, i.e., some last minute "legal" injunction or bureaucratic decision will somehow be invoked to nullify the election.

The Stein challenge is - on the surface - so flaky that I feel it is merely a delaying tactic or a ruse for something else. It is madness that a candidate with 1% of the vote should be allowed to pursue these challenges.

So that attempt is down the drain. However the Mi AG has filed in a federal court as of last night.

I am against the concept of a national ID

Every child born in this country, at least those born in hospitals, are issued a Social Security number. That number has to appear on any identification already so we have a de facto National ID. Personally I don't mind "papers please" if it deters the hordes from third world cess pools.
