No doubt. Kick Mr. RINOcare to the curb, what he said about Trump is inexcusable and he should never have a job in his administration. Yeah, I know things get said during campaigns. Republicans say things about other Republicans and Democrats say things about other Democrats. Ugly personal things that hit them right where they live. Then they make up over a glass of scotch and a steak dinner afterward because, when you campaign, you’re playing to WIN, end of story.
The problem with Romney is that he wasn’t running for anything. He took to the airwaves on his own initiative or a candidate yet to be named convinced him to do it (probably Cruz throwing some SuperPAC money his way like he did with Glenn Beck, Mark Levin, and probably Rush Limbaugh). The thing is, Romney said what he said and he wasn’t a candidate in the race. It’s one thing to go out and say, “Hey, I’m for this guy because he’s got the best package, this is the prez I’m looking for...” Mitt RINO didn’t do that, he went out spewing venom and it was personal. I wouldn’t go publicly badmouth the CEO of Lockheed to the entire country and expect him to give me a job 4 months later. Trump should do the same. Pull him in, talk nice to him, shake hands in front of the nation, and send his a** packing.

That “teeny little Island” controls thousands of miles of ocean, ocean floor, and all the resources in it and under it.

As well as she and her and he and him. My mother (an English teacher) used to blame it on TV because even the “talking heads” made glaring errors (as they still do), to say nothing of the colloquial speech of the actors (which is forgivable if it mirrors the characters they are playing.)
They didn’t care for starting a sentence with and, or but. However, that rule was relaxed long ago and electronic communication has hastened it.
My grandfather was a teacher. He died before I was born but my mother told me he was a grammar expert. She had even saved a paper where he had diagramed the sentences. Do they still teach that? My mom was an expert as well with only a high school education. My children use correct grsmmar and it makes me very proud. Correct grammar makes you sound smart.

English is fast moving, adaptive, and basically a snowball that rolls over other languages and cultures. It takes what is useful, grows bigger, and rolls on.
English teachers and prigs aside, American English is the main dialect, and when a new common usage is accepted, widely actually becomes English. You can sit there sipping tea and pretending people should speak like Catherine Hepburn, but the snowball rolls on, and leaves you behind.

We did. Here on FR; we changed the RULES and anybody who
gets too picky is henceforth verbally anally examined for
any and all - even slight - errors.
IF you work with the sentence and look at it differently,
the phrase “we can talk to WHOM” also qualifies and
indicates the proper usage of “who” or “whom”. The trick is
always thinking on the fly. Gnats, camels, you know . . .
I don’t think that I could still diagram a sentence, although I used to be quite good at it. I don’t remember my kids bringing home homework on that topic. More’s the pity!
