Now you’re a member of #BLACKLIESMATTER. How times change.

Ordinarily I wouldn't even respond to such a childish and inane comment. But since you're defending something you obviously know nothing about . . .

The Birch Society was founded by eleven men, one of whom, Dr. Revilo P. Oliver, was a mouth-foaming anti-Semite who later broke with the Society because they didn't make the anti-Semitism of their conspiracy theory public. He was also an atheist, btw.

The Birch Society's main founder, Robert H.W. Welch Jr., was a member of the Unitarian Church, an evolutionist, and basically a totally secular civilizationist.

The Birch Society for years hawked copies of anti-Semite Nesta Webster's poisonous garbage, and did so with illegal pirate copies because the true copyright holders of her works--Britons Publishing Society--was out-and-out Nazi.

The Birch Society published three books by the Romanian Iron Guard sympathizer Prince Michel Sturdza. The first two actually had to be bowdlerized in order to cover up the anti-Semitism but both these books are still fanatically anti-Israel.

Other than one brief period under Begin, the Birch Society was always hostile to Israel and never at any time supported it the way they did Rhodesia, South Africa, Nationalist China, Franco Spain, Salazar Portugal, Papadopoulos Greece, etc., despite the fact that worldwide Communist propaganda lumped Israel in with all these countries. But Birch commentary always treated Israel and its Communist Arab enemies as being morally equivalent. As far as they were concerned, Zionism was simply part of "the conspiracy."

The Birch Society for years "unofficially" promoted and distributed a nasty attack on Fundamentalist chrstianity entitled The Rapture Cult. There is, of course, a whole chapter on how Zionism and Israel are part of the "conspiracy" (which apparently Rhodesia was not, despite having been founded by an alleged "insider").

The type of people who belong to or support the Birch Society may be learned by going to The New American web site and reading viewer comments: such as references to "Jewish insiders," "matzah munching oligarchs," and claims that we fought on the wrong side in World War II. In fact, TNA is more anti-Israel than its predecessor publications ever were during the time I was a member.

As for "Black Lives Matter," this won't make any difference to you, but I am the biggest critic of Black/Hispanic/"minority" political behavior on this site . . . sometimes going so far that I've wondered why I wasn't banned. I'm absolutely merciless with these Leftist racialists for the same reason I'm merciless with Rightist racialists: they worship something other than G-d.

And finally, I have been defending America's rural white Southern Fundamentalist Protestants and opposing evolution and higher criticism on this forum since the day I first signed up over seventeen years ago. Can you say the same?

So much for you.
