New Yorkers don't want Melania Trump in the city.
Almost 100,000 people signed a petition requesting that New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo and Mayor Bill de Blasio refuse to pay close to $1 million per day to protect President-elect Donald Trump's wife, The Independent reported.
"The New York taxpayers refuse to pay over $1 million a day so she can stay," they said. "If this decision has been made, between the two of them they should be the ones to pay for it. Not New York taxpayer dollars that could be used on roads, schools, transit, sanitation, new jobs and other expenses that the city has."

Afraid so...every phone call; every trip to the bathroom; every time some one comes to call; yep we are going to hear about it all, EXCEPT We will know the truth and not from the Communistic media, talking heads and pundits...
Some NY losers just mad that the money won’t be going toward their precious refugee terrorists!
I don’t want to pay my tax dollars to protect that criminal Clinton...
Shame on this double-standard bearing, intolerant nasty small group of New Yorkers (I might add)! Who do they think they are? When have they ever complained about paying for Hillary and Bill when they are in Chappaqua or the City, Martha’s Vineyard, Rhode Island Etc...sometimes together sometimes not. This is b******* and I’m sick and tired of their nasty nasty intolerant selves
Ha! New Yorkers caring about taxation.
Why not petition the city to end all their stupid taxes.
Quite the deft-tart, New Yorkers are.
Well, what your not saying is that the same could be said of Washington. But remember the swamps northern boarders don’t stop in DC. There is a lot of swamp in this country. Melania your always invited in my house.
they don’t care about the cost, they only care about the inconvenience that the security precautions are going to cause them in midtown Manhattan
So...about the same cost as one of obamas golf outings.
I’m sorry, it can’t possibly cost one million per day to protect the Trump family in NYC...
These libtards have never been good at math...
Stop paying for the UN security and pay for Melanie’s. A fair and equitable swap.
I was thinking the same thing. What are they doing to cost that much?
So? 190 million Americans didn’t want Michelle Obama in the White House.
Who gives a sh*t given they allow bums to take thos sh*ts in the street?
“$1 million per day sounds kind of high to me. How much does/did NYC pay to protect the Clintons?”
It’s already paid for with federal tax dollars. Lame excuse by NY Rat politicians. But for their sake, let’s take it a step further. Secret Service protection costs shouldn’t include something as trivial as protecting a former President when he jets down to pedophile island with buddies.
The NYC libs are suffering from the inconvenience of the Trump family in their midst. Good! I hope their precious liberal lives slow to a screeching halt and each day is more miserable than the day before.
Bullshit lead sentence.
100,000 said this, out of 8,000,000.
That's a tad over one percent.
Look back on the last 8 years.
You will have your answer for the next 8 years.
Hmmmm ... Wisconsin didn’t get a choice about needing to shell out for a bogus recount.
This is two longtime NY residents needing to continue residence for at least a period of time. The cost of protecting Melania and Barron is probably WAY less than the frequent vacations racked up to the taxpayers by the current pResident of the White Hut.
“Is it going to be nothing but this bullshit daily for the next 4 (or 8 :) years?”
Probably, but the “silver lining” here is that these moronic protestations will be seen by the public as large (discounting the worthless turds who inhabit NYC) against the backdrop of an effective President Trump making lives better for the bulk of the citizens of this country. So in the net, it is a good thing that will elevate the new President while at the same time marginalize these “protestors” and the corrupt media they use to “get out their message!”
