Policies that will be issued in 2017 are already in place. Policies in 2018 are being currently negotiated with states. Any changes cannot take effect until policies issued in 2019.

well mitch:

since you and the gopes love obamacare so much, how’s about this deal:

you *repeal* it off all of us and “replace” it on you and all your unsavory uniparty ilk.

btw mitch. you have the house, senate and presidency now. i thought that was what you gopes said you needed to repeal obamacare? what gives mitch? was that just another joke on us knuckle draggers after all?

"The Dems snapped their fingers and voilà, Obamacare."

Yes, if Trumpcare requires new federal powers, powers not listed among the very few powers of the Constitution's Section 8 of Article I, then a required new healthcare amendment to the Constitution is probably going to take some time — the states not oblgated to ratify it anyway.

In the meanwhile, patriots need to work with Trump to politically “force” the corrupt feds to surrender state powers that they have stolen from the states back to the states.

This also includes putting a stop to unconstitutional federal taxes, taxes that Congress cannot justify with its Section 8-limited powers.

In fact, once unconstitutional federal taxes are stopped, the states would probably find a tsunami of new revenues that they could use to experiment with their own healthcare programs without interference from the feds.

" Yes, the people have voted to keep ObamaCARE
but as RomneyCARE -- and Congress and our staff and
families, and the special people, will remain EXEMPT.
In the new Ryan-McConnell Administration, featuring
Mr. Trump as President for the moment,
ObamaCARE will remain until it becomes RomneyCARE."

McConnell cautions replacement to health law to take time

It would be nice if they replaced McConnell in about the first fifteen minutes of the new Congress.

Bullcrap. You could repeal Ebolacare in probably a single page. That should, presumably within a year, restore the SQA, which is already better than Ebolacare. Not ideal, and some changes should probably still be made to correct the damage done by leftist tyrants previous to Ebola, but no one can deny that the previous system was at least better than Osamacare and should be easy to get to.

Just spoke to a health care executive tonight about repealing the AFA. He says that there is no way congress is going to take health care away from millions who had none before.

They expect some cosmetic changes, but no real roll back. It would be political suicide.

Not what I wanted to hear, but when he started going into the details - like are you going to take pregnant women and patients being treated for cancer off the insurance roles - it started to make sense, unfortunately.

At best we are looking at a slow roll back.

Obamacare was phased in over a period of years. In fact, it is still being phased in. It doesn’t happen overnight, Sherlock.

“can’t just snap your fingers and go from where we are today to where we’re headed.”

There are deals to be made, foreign junkets to go on, campaign cash to be lined up. Yeah, you can't just go and do something. You need to milk it for what it's worth. There are winners and losers and we need to make sure that the winners pay up.

This IMO confirms the rumblings we’ve heard these last few years that the GOPe in Congress had no interest or intention of repealing Obamacare. The public claim of course was that somehow they couldn’t repeal it while Obama was president. Congress was only one third of the federal government, etc..

That Ryan and McConnell lead the House and Senate tells us just how little the GOPe plans to follow through on even what they campaign on.

Right now the debt is spinning out of control. Not like the last time, when Obama said this ten trillion dollar debt is our largest defense issue. Now its double that. And the largest and fastest growing part of that is health care. Whether its medicare, medicaid or Obamacare we have a big problem that has to get fixed soon. You can toss Social Security and the military budget as problems. They don’t compare. We need to lower our health care costs. Either we pay less or we provide less. Frankly I am for, paying less. Maybe we should try paying the price other countries do. Our health care ain’t that great but its far more expensive.

First try this. If hospitals or doctors offer their service at a low price to one group, they have to provide it to everyone at that price. And if our drug companies provide their drugs to the average of the top 30 other industrial nations at an average price, then that is what our government should pay. Then we can right size our healthcare costs without lowering our healthcare services.
