Reminds me that some people don’t the difference between “take” and “bring”.

4. The United States would not mediate between Taiwan and China.
5. The United States would not alter its position about the sovereignty of Taiwan which was, that the question was one to be decided peacefully by the Chinese themselves, and would not pressure Taiwan to enter into negotiations with China.
6. The United States would not formally recognize Chinese sovereignty over Taiwan.

They obviously haven't been listening to him as well as Taiwan has - he has called China out and will not let them dictate terms to him. That's what "emboldened Taiwan to call him - mission going as planned.
Since when did we stop,talking to Taiwan? I thought we had some sort of agreement to protect them if they are ever attacked by the Commies?

Guess Ms Wang missed the fact that Trump didn’t make the call, he RECEIVED the call. Speaking with anyone is Trump’s business, he has not yet been sworn in so what’s the big deal. The snowflakes in the news media are dumbfounded that Trump refuses to be dictated to by any of their leftist heroes.
My understanding of the “protocol” is that the established government’s head of state calls the PEOTUS, not the other way around. It’s true in this case that Taiwan’s president called PE Trump.
