A search shows many many news sources covering the fact the judge did shut down her Montgomery recount. The others, too small and even the Dems wouldn't pretend to find enough votes to catch up. They lie in their press release.

My understanding is that Pennsylvania law allows recounts in any district (not county) where three voters file affidavits requesting one. There are more than 9,000 voting districts in PA, which means someone would have needed to collect at least 27,000 affidavits to get a statewide recount using that particular method.

I'd be surprised if they were able to get the three affidavits in more than 40-50 out of those 9,000 precincts.

And I believe the deadline for getting the three affidavits in a precinct was several weeks ago, too.
