President-elect Donald Trump said hes looking to cut back federal global warming programs, which he claims are hurting U.S. competitiveness.
Hes got a lot of work ahead of him: Federal agencies plan to spend $27 billion on global warming-related programs next year.
The White House reported to House Republicans that 18 federal agencies combined spent about $22 billion on global warming activities in 2013, but defined global warming much more narrowly than the agencies themselves.
Federal agencies want to spend $12 billion on global warming programs in 2017, according to Salon, but the left-wing news site only factored in six of 18 agencies with such programs. The government plans to spend closer to $27 billion on global warming.
The Department of Energy planned to spend $8.5 billion next year on global warming-related research on energy efficiency, basic science and energy research.

Sounds like a plan to me.
Running from what the best science has excellent reason to believe is a bogeyman. Cyclically an ice age is around the corner, and things that retard this ought to be welcomed. Should CO2 shoot up to its highest paleontologically known figures on earth and the ice age decline to happen, we’d be looking at summer homes in Siberia in 10,000 years, but not extinction. This is slower than the time taken for man’s works to crumble back into dust.
All these aholes who perpetrated this hoax need to be in prison for life.
Inner city schools (heck, all public schools) need non-liberal teachers and non-liberal curriculum.
Oh for sure there are some new schools needed as well as repairs but it is what is being taught and by whom that is the real problem.
Other things are needed as well, like the border wall.
If you subtract the illegals from the schools the result is there is plenty of education money for the citizen's kids.
.
He should cut all of the $27 billion and the 18 federal agencies that spent money on global warming activities. Starting with the EPA and ending with the IRS, just for good measure.
I’ve often wondered, ‘If Global Warming IS such a huge threat to Earth, and there’s MONEY to be made in fighting it...why isn’t Private Industry involved in this?’
And then, I sober up, LOL!
I would LOVE to see Government spending SLASHED - and when there are absolutely NO repercussions whatsoever, and life goes on as normal, I want THAT noted and I want to rub the LibTards noses in it!
Yeah. I’m MEAN that way. :)
It was up to politicians to put it into (the wrong) perspective. We had a political folie a deux. Two had to tango. Perhaps America will benefit from having undergone this punishment before this current age of God’s new grace.
More and more have been giving at least lip service to it.
Supposedly, we get ‘international goodwill’ but.... I’ve never actually seen evidence of any.
Also, this thing isn’t about you. Were the grace of God to permit it by withdrawing from you (after all you never earned it) you would quickly find what follies and sins your present heart could carry out.
I guess we will know as it begins to happen ..... some questions have little relevancy until such time as he is seated and actually in the mix.
Exactly !
Given the 27 billion has some basis in fact, the states have never delegated to the feds, expressly via the Constitution the specifc power to regulate, tax and spend for politically correct global warming purposes. So the states just found an extra 27 billion in revenues.
Congress is not empowered to tax for those purposes which are within the exclusive province of the States. Justice John Marshall, Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.
From the accepted doctrine that the United States is a government of delegated powers, it follows that those not expressly granted, or reasonably to be implied from such as are conferred, are reserved to the states, or to the people. To forestall any suggestion to the contrary, the Tenth Amendment was adopted. The same proposition, otherwise stated, is that powers not granted are prohibited [emphasis added]. United States v. Butler, 1936.
Outrageous.
Another in-your-face example of how out of touch and how far removed from reality our ao-called leaders are and have been.
The US Cash Deficit for October 2016 came in at $45B for the month, bringing the year through 10 months to $526B.
Obama will leave Trump with a $20,000,000,000,000 dollar deficit and our government is peeing $27 billion of borrowed money away on this hoax every year.
I've been on the school board and THIS year has been the most fun pain in the ass I've EVER been to the commie bastards.
I'VE been preachin' here in FR for over a year ... GET ELECTED .... YOU CAN DO IT ... NO ONE WANTS THE JOB
School board directers come up every four years ... run a write in campaign ... talk yourself up before the election and people WILL take a look at the product the govt indoctrination centers are turning out and what you promote yourself to be.
Get other like minded interested (I was instrumental in getting another born again duck dynasty guy, (hairy and righteous) elected)
That's two so far on a board of nine and the rest are listening to us and we believe they'll not run again.
Do the people that go to these schools get brand new attitudes toward learning?
If not leave it at EPA at least they are more entertaining when wasting money!
The VA has enough money if the trash is thrown out
You could build a pretty nice wall for that sum. Then end all aid to Mexico till it’s paid off. Then still don’t aid Mexico, because screw Mexico.
$26.999 billion.
$27,000,000,000...and have the Justice Department investigate/charge/fine/jail the criminals who got billions if not trillions through their fraudulent gloBULL warming scams(grants, loans, and so forth).
