Once those jobs are gone, they are gone. He has some leverage now, and I think he should save as many jobs as he can.
Let me put it this way. If it was your job he was saving, what would you think of that?

As I see it he is trying to stop the hemorrhaging of jobs to Mexico. Once he is in office he can start doing surgery to keep companies here. He is limited what he can do right now, other than talk to the companies about possible future policies that would help their bottom line if they stay here.
