This is how China went from a third world rice paddy field to an economic powerhouse. The US bending over for cheap labor. China was nothing until we started buying their junk.
The way previous administrations threw Taiwan under the proverbial bus (and kept them there) is shameful.
The surprise will be if the Taiwanese still want anything to do with us after our years of duplicitity.

Good. Our relations with China have been a one-way street ever since the days of Nixon and Carter. We give them everything and they give us nothing. And then they demand that we give them more.
Time to even things out. We can no longer afford to pay for the entire world. In fact, after the last few Prezzies, we can’t even afford to pay for ourselves.
Best he let China know early that they don’t make US foreign policy. About time they worried about pissing off their number one customer. Turn one container ship around and send it back full and their economy would die.

If there is only one China we are free to view Taiwan as its representative government.
In the past we have always supported governments that are Democratic in nature.
