Do all the recounting they want as long as it stops in time to certify the state’s vote before the electoral college vote. Attempting to deprive a state from participating in the college with frivolous recounts should be a federal crime and I can’t see any judge going for that crap.

As has been stated many times, they know they can't overturn the results of the election. Their real intent is to do whatever they can to portray the Trump presidency as illegitimate. They hope to prevent enough electors from voting to bring Trump down below 270. He would still, of course, win by having more electoral votes than Hillary, however, the media has made so much of the "270" number that many people think that you MUST have that many votes to be declared the winner. In reality, it represents the winning number if ALL electoral votes are counted. If they succeed, the talking point will be "Trump didn't win the popular vote, and he didn't get the REQUIRED 270 electoral votes (a lie), therefore his presidency is illegitimate." Their target audience is the low information voters who will accept this lie at face value.

The 12th amendment says it’s a majority of electors Appointed. One could argue the electors are already Appointed in these states.

“As has been stated many times, they know they can’t overturn the results of the election.”

I have no doubt they are absolutely trying to overturn the election.
