Thanks to both of you for those recipes.

Maybe its just that I’m getting old, but I’m actually tired of making a lot of the Christmas-type treats. Neither my husband and I need them, and our kids don’t really like most of them.

I remember my mother, toiling away making cookies, date roll, divinity etc., and I just have no desire to do any of that any more. I think I’ll make some chocolate chip, and some peanut butter cookies, and call it a day.

It’s so much easier to go to a good bakery, and bring stuff home :)

I go through stages of wanting to bake and not wanting to. When it gets much colder I’ll be baking more. ;-)

SelmaLee I am with you on the Christmas goodie thingy I used to just bake for days, make candies, cookies, pies I just don’t have the energy anymore!!! WE however are blessed these days the grocery stores have beautiful Christmas Sugar cookies, and ALL flavors of cookies, beautiful pies and for a price for I can no longer make them for!!! I make fudge and call it a day!!!
