The first THANK YOU rally last night in Cinti revealed another packed house of enthusiastic Americans supporting Donald J. Trump as he reviewed the election, shared more of his vision and made on appointment announcement (that is a secret) of Mad Dog Mattis. We are all anticipating this week will reveal the new SOS plus other key announcements.
It might be just media spin if they are acquiring a second residence in DC so they can be on hand for WH social and family events, etc. I guess where the kids are enrolled for school will reveal where they will call home for most of the time. I agree it’s problematice if Ivanka thinks she will run policy on any issue simply because she’s a relative — shades of Hillarycare. Let her run environmental policy for the Trump Organization and the way they make construction green.
Worst case, The Donald will try to make Ivanka his hostess while Melania is still in NY until Barron finishes school. That hasn’t been done by a president for over a century, back when women did not have conflicts of interest — they had no careers. No to that. Everybody who tweets needs to let him know that would be a no.

I’m trying to crank myself up to make the family ginger cookie recipe with real shredded ginger, and the lemon drop cookies that uses actual squeezed lemon juice and zest. So far I’m at the “thinking about it” stage. Then there are the “hands to work, hearts to God” sugar cookies with a pink heart inset into the hand shape before baking—I have made them in both pinkish and brownish.

This is going to be a good week for those on the Trump train.
And perhaps Melania has not asked Ivanka to move to Washington.
The point is this: Ivanka is now an integral part of her father's transition. She is meeting with Al Gore as I type because, as reports tell it, Ivanka wants to make climate change her signature issue.
I don't know why the heck the President's married daughter, the one running parts of his business, gets a "signature issue". And especially one like climate change.
In short order Ivanka will be more of a problem than an asset. A combination of her liberal political views and serious potential for keeping conflict of interest on the front burner is a disaster waiting to happen.
Love her or not, she is not worth the disruption. Ivanka needs to get on with her life in New York.
Makes sense, I do believe her husband will have a position in the Trump administration.........

Well aware. Hard to miss that often-cited fact in the news. Also, Eric's wife is Jewish, Lana was raised in North Carolina and her personality seems as much "southern girl" as anything else; but she and Eric did marry under a chuppah at Mar-a-Lago.

And most likely, Ivanka Trump was in the meeting. Just like she was with the Mayor of Washington, DC.
I’m simply very uncomfortable with her role and the ramifications.
If so, Jared should commute by helicopter to New York for half the week.
