Hillary supporter, 'deceptive pro-amnesty lawmaker,' D.C. insiders among president-elect's top choices.
Its often said personnel is policy when it comes to an incoming presidents Cabinet selections, and thats what has some of Donald Trumps most fervent supporters asking, Why THESE people?
In fact, Americans on both the left and right of the political aisle are expressing concern over the president-elects recent choices for key positions in his administration.
On Wednesday came word that Vice-President-elect Mike Pence was meeting with former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, an outspoken Trump critic. In October, Rice called for Trump to end his bid. Donald Trump should not be president. He should withdraw, she wrote in a Facebook post following release of a decade-old video of Trump having a lewd conversation about women. Rice even insisted Trump replace himself with someone who has the dignity and stature to run for the highest office in the greatest democracy on earth. In July, Rice declined to attend the Republican National Convention. The Trump team has not indicated whether it is considering Rice for a Cabinet post.
Also Wednesday, the New York Times reported Trump may be considering professional wrestling magnate Linda McMahon for the Small Business Administration. McMahon developed World Wresting Entertainment, or WWE, with her husband, Vince McMahon. Upon leaving Trump Tower Wednesday, McMahon told reporters, The meeting went great. It was really nice to be up, and I was honored to be asked to come in. Anytime I think the president-elect of the United States asks you to come in for a conversation, youre happy to do that. We talked about business and entrepreneurs and creating jobs, and we talked about S.B.A.

We Republicans are used to weak, lefty leaders, like boosch. Trump isn’t that. If he can make the GOPe work for US, what’s wrong with that?
I’m impressed with his choices... it’s going to be one very effective team.
Once again you have awed me with your uncommon sense. YOU should be up there helping.
Thanks for the comments Thumper1960. I enjoyed them, and agree with you.
As a Tennessean I have to point out that Corker, excellent businessman that he is who helped rebuild Chattanooga, has caved to all Democrat demands as a Senator. Alexander has squandered likewise trying to get along going along. Skip these two please.
Thank you N-R-T. I appreciate the nice compliment.
Great post!
Thanks. I appreciate it.
I’m thinking Romney’s for Sec of State to put him overseas and manageable much like Obama did Hillary. Hopefully Mittens will be competent and not get people killed.
If he is overseas, he will be Trump’s exotic errand boy.
He won’t be making any decisions. Trump will be. Romney will simply carry out his directions.
I’m not saying this to trash Romney, it’s just that Trump is going to be the mastermind on the sidelines that sends in the plays.
Romney won’t get anyone killed.
Thumper, your mouth to God’s ear prayerfully. America has proved itself too strong to be dismantled by a secret homosexual Islamist Resident despite his best efforts to take us down. Now it’s our turn with an obnoxious New Yawk belligerent SOB who loves America. Lets rock!
Nice analysis. In a nutshell, I think he’s playing these fanooks and plans to use their living, yellow guts to grease his tank’s tracks next year.
The first few months will be like the closing scenes of ‘The Godfather’.
Thanks. Mittens and company are playing chess two moves ahead, and Trump is already on the second game...

Completely disagree. Romney set himself apart form any previous Republican Presidential candidate and went full court press against Trump day after day, month after month.
In FACT, Romney was one of Trump's worst critics, including the left critics. Romney went out of his way to take out Trump, when he NEVER went against Hillary Clinton. It wasn't as if Romney was neutral, or as if he spent equal time bashing both Trump and Clinton. No. Instead he spent ALL of his time bashing Trump. He DID NOT VOTE for Trump in the primary or the general election.
There is NO WAY Romney will do Trump's bidding long term. Why? Deep down, Romney will never get over the fact that Trump was more popular with the electorate and secretly on a personal level hopes Trump fails.
Romney went OVERBOARD like no other modern day politician in his efforts to take out Trump on behalf of himself and on behalf of his second family, the Bush family.
Romney cannot be trusted. Rudy should be appointed as Secretary of State. We are not interested in a Romney trial run thinking Trump could tell him “You're Fired”
Romney should never be HIRED to begin with, let alone fired.
If Trump pick Romney for SoS, it will be his worst decision to date. Romney will soak up the attention and he and his surrogates will be a mole for the Rinos day in and day out. While Romney and his ego cannot help themselves and secretly want Trump to fail because they are jealous, Romney's SURROGATES are even worse in their desire to see Trump fail on account of their support for Romney. This is personal for Romney. He is devastated that America and all those blue states voted for Trump over him. That is a fact.
Well, we’ll have to let it play out. He may not even be picked.
What if there’s something none of us know about that Trump is planning to hang around Mitt’s neck when revealed?
(No idea what it could be but only reason that makes any sense to me...)
LOL, we are a devious group.
That’s an interesting angle. You never say never, so who knows.
But on the other hand, he may have simply picked the best person for the job regardless of personal issues as he has been said to do. Mitt might not be the best for Trump, but his views seem to be correct on Israel.
I hopped over to another tab and read about Mitt’s trip overseas in 2012.
Legacy media said it was a disaster but I felt like he was very solid for Israel, which is very important IMO if you want any help from on high.
