Taste my Nightstick!
She could be a great administrator without having served in uniform. She was a successful governor. As to having served, you could extend the logic and say JFKerry would be better in the VA bc he served.
No, loving our veterans and caring passionately are better qualities. JFKerry and his ilk clearly have none. If Obama really cared, we’d never given bonuses to those who mistreated our vets.
Find a place for her PE Trump, just not the VA. We need a veteran there.
My VA has it’s own ‘Women’s Clinic’ for us. It’s spa-like and awesome. Everyone is SO professional and I love my Lady Doctor. Very caring, great bedside manner.
(And yes, there were a few women in the waiting area with me that appeared to have some serious mental-health issues to deal with.) :(
I had my initial intake evaluation this summer; they gave me EVERY test under the sun, lots of base-line blood work, a 3-D Mammogram (that I took at a nearby hospital for MY convenience), and I volunteered for the colon cancer group as they needed people for comparison who do NOT have this in their family.
Anyhow, ALL of those services showed absolutely NOTHING wrong with me but now I know where I stand. It cost me a total of $24 out of pocket.
Thanks, Taxpayers! :)
wow !!!!
I think she’d be a better choice for Energy. Few people realize how difficult “fixing” the VA will be. You not only need someone with public relations and media skills (which Palin has), you also need someone with a wonk-level understanding of veterans healthcare, and a visionary who can dismantle, the existing, failed system, replace it with something that works, save money and do it in less than four years.
Not sure Governor Palin has the patience or temperament for something like that. I’m not sure anyone does. The turnaround at VA may be the toughest of any jobs facing a member of the Trump cabinet. And whoever winds up at VA must have a reform package already passed by Congress (and signed by POTUS), giving them broad powers to trim excess staff, fire incompetent personnel and prosecute those who break the law. Without those powers, anyone running the VA is doomed to fail.
I hope Palin gets a position. However, I don’t think the VA is a good fit.
As a combat vet, I’d feel very comfortable with Sarah as head of the VA. I might even attempt to reapply for med benefits.

POP POP POP POP POP
heads a popping
awesome is right - The media may never write or report a positive story about the Trump administration ever. They will be too busy grinding their teeth.
She’s very popular with the military vets and actives. I think it would be a good choice.

please...no....just no....
I hope he gets bupkiss - he's WAY too full of himself -
It would make the libs cry in the shower, on the pot, while cooking, having sex, even while they’re asleep. They will need to take salt pills.
“please...no....just no....”
Have to agree. Admire a lot about Sarah Palin, but this isn’t a political plum to hand out. The VA needs a physician who is also a really good administrator and someone who knows already where the bodies are buried. I read that in the Fayetteville NC VA a group of Surgical Dept. employees got togther and wrote to the IG about serious problems in that facility. Those are exactly the kind of people needed to step forward and overturn that rotting log of an agency. Sarah has no medical background, and I think that has been a big part of the failure of the two previous heads of the VA. The medical industry is like no other in that there are so many layers in which to fail, and each failure can mean disaster for the patients. It’s time to appoint a seasoned medical professional with years of experience in working in the VA trenches.
She has veterans in her family! She’s a high-energy bureaucracy-chopper who loves vets and America with a passion. I love this unexpected job for her!
Yes,
Please
Al it takes is the mention of her name and she’s Trending at spot number 2 on Twitter right now.
One of the memes of this election cycle was that Trump certainly couldn’t do any worse than what we have now.
This certainly applies to Sarah as well. She broke the political corruption in Alaska. It’s pretty clear that political corruption is also at the heart of the VA’s failure to provide adequate care to our Vets.
