During the presidential campaign, Republican Donald Trump said he would not cut Social Security, Medicare or Medicaid, but no matter.
Sen. Chuck Schumer, the next Senate minority leader, on Tuesday warned that Republicans are “plotting a war on seniors.”
The New York Democrat said he was “so disappointed” that Trump has nominated Rep. Tom Price (R-Ga.) to be his Health and Human Services secretary. “When it comes to issues like Medicare, the Affordable Care Act and Planned Parenthood, Congressman Price and the average American couldn’t be further apart,” Schumer told a news conference on Capitol Hill. …

I ran into Schumer once at Penn Station in New York. He was there and Ed Rendell was already in line. Rendell was like a rock star, attracting all sorts of folks and pleasantly chatting away. I kind of liked him. Schumer walked by and kind of sniffed at the attention Rendell was getting and found his place in line.
No one cared to talk to him at all.
It's the same old playbook that the DemocRATs have used with success for the last 50 years. That's because their favorite Republicans are the ones who wear the "Kick Me" sign on their backs.
This time around, they have a different Republican to deal with. We'll see how their playbook works now.

If anything Trump is going to prove to be very difficult to tar with this brush as opposed to any other potential Republican POTUS.
He does not come out of the Washington think tank environment that is always floating trial balloons on cutting SS.
Obamacare cut medicare by hundreds of millions to pay for its bloated costs.
Care has been rationed to our seniors.
Yet the dems spew this fear mongering garbage instead of working to make things better.

If Chuckie is disappointed with a nomination then you know it is the spot-on perfect match for the American people. Dr. Price is the correct choice!

I wish I could convince my friends what they are reading/hearing is BS but they will not budge.
