Why, just yesterday, I sensed a lessening of inequality and global warming got better. Do you suppose . . . ?

Not a bunch of topless photos again in cold goosebumpy weather.

Many of sub-Saharan Africa's smallholder farmers - one of the groups hardest hit by more frequent and worsening drought linked to climate change - are women.
In other parts of the developing world, women and girls face the prospect of walking further to gather water as a result of climate change drying up riverbeds and groundwater supplies.
Natural disasters, which are expected to worsen with climate change, are also likely to kill more women and girls than men, a 2007 study from the London School of Economics showed.
I guessing this will be the 3rd year(4th year?) in a row, some climate change fanatics will have to be rescued from the climate in Antartica.

Wait a minute here... I thought they were going to do scientist things, not corporate team building exercises...
I mean, this is just embarrassing. ‘We're going down to Antarctica to show that women can do science just as well as men can!’ Umm, you mean just as well as a climate scientist, obviously, as they too do no actual science on their expeditions, just simply pose for pictures when they see something that fits their agenda.

Did they shave their pubic hair into a likeness of Hillary Clinton in her honor? That seems to be a thing these days, among crazy cat ladies who remain marginally attached to the labor force.

Back in college (engineering school) there were lots of guys that looked down on the women going there. It didn’t bother me - and I always treated them nicely - “Heck, someday one of them might be my boss!”
That said, I’m not sure the way to inspire women to get into the sciences is “Become a scientist, and win a 20-day trip in subzero temperatures.”
I know back in the day I always wanted to get to Antarctica (friends did), but now - not so much.
I wonder, after their 20-days there if they won’t be in favor of a little more global warming?

Based on the description, this expedition has nothing to do with advancing science.
