Any reasons things may have changed?
The only thing changed from two years ago is that even MORE illegal residents voted in this election than had voted back then, if only because there was WAY more interest in this election.
But there has been a steady increase in absolute numbers of ineligible voters somehow remaining on the rolls.
Polls show that 6% of legal but non citizen aliens vote regularly. Anyone at all regardless of status can vote in South Florida. Same in California. No ID, no English you get a provisional ballot. In most places such ballots are not counted except if the election is tied or within a tiny %. In South Florida and California they are all counted with no question. I am sure there are other such states and counties, probably a bunch of them. In the 60s it was accepted wisdom that a Republican presidential candidate had to have a margin of a million votes to break even in the vote count. That number is surely a multiple of that number now, perhaps a large multiple given the ease with which electronic voting machines can be manipulated.
