“Why not just have the legislature pass a law saying that police must establish citizenship when they come into contact with a person in the performance of their duties?”
Maybe we just need a national ID card huh?
We already have them, if you want to fly, enter a federal facility or other property, even drive a car.
A few states, including mine, are trying to buck the rule but the feds say fall in line or fall the hell out.
