Madison Green Party Candidate Jill Stein will get a court hearing Tuesday afternoon in her effort to require all Wisconsin counties to recount the presidential votes by hand.
Also Tuesday, Stein and other supporters of a recall will have to come with the $3.5 million to pay for it to ensure it moves forward on Thursday. Stein, who drew more votes in Wisconsin than Democrat Hillary Clinton's losing margin in this state to Republican President-elect Donald Trump, criticized the cost of the recall Tuesday but said she would pay.
State officials initially estimated the cost of the recall at roughly $1 million but increased the amount after counties gave the state their own estimates of what it would cost in their jurisdictions.
"We stand by our commitment to verify that the vote in Wisconsin was accurate and secure and this exorbitant cost will not deter us. While this excessive fee places an undue burden on our efforts, we are committed to paying this cost in order to ensure that the voting in Wisconsin was accurate," she said in a statement.

How can she get a hearing on this if she has not even paid the $3.5 mil. up-front fee yet?
Kind of funny to hear a Green Party official complain about the high cost of government services!
Did we say $3.5 million?
And you thought it would be $1 million?
Sorry for your misunderstanding.
Actually we meant to say $6.7 million.
I think the left is trying to tie this up in the courts in order to delay an elector vote total sufficient enough to make official a Trump presidency.
This has the STENCH OF SOROS all over it.
All it takes is one leftist loon Madison judge to issue a dictum overturning (or at least ignoring) the law, and it’s off to the races!
She’s bringing this suit in Dane County and will win because it is liberal paradise in the US. Once challenged there however, if it goes to the State Supreme Court, she’ll lose, because the conservatives have a 5-2 edge there. But look for early disappointment and a completely illogical ruling from Dane County Court.
I expect the court will shut this part of the recount request down. Anyone, according to Wisconsin law, can ask for a recount and receive one if they pay the cost. But to go this extra step without any chance of reversing the result, especially as a fourth-place loser, is a step too far and would place in jeopardy the state’s ability to participate in the electoral college vote. Talk about pissing people off, the Green’s and their Democrat co-conspirators, will be despised for years in the state.
She’s going ask that Wisconsin pay for it.
Plunk down another $20 million to continue the hand recount case...or dismiss it out of hand.
Let’s hope the judge actually understands the law and has some common sense. Unfortunately neither of these is a given anymore......
“By the way, Ms. Stein.. that $3.5 million figure we gave you — that’s per hour.”
From the comment above regarding Dane County judges, it would seem that law and common sense versus a political result are mutually exclusive.
Recounts are very CO2 intensive. Lake Michigan will rise and flood Chicago and Mikwaukee.
Considering even the democrats and MSM can’t stand her, I seriously doubt it if she can find a friendly judge. I think this nasty old lefty hag is toast. And I think she knew it before she started.
Her consolation prize is keeping the loot. She’s just gotta go through all the motions to keep the useful idiots happy.
I wonder how much Hillary set aside for bribe money. Trump might want to keep a tail on the ote counters just to ensure their integrity doesn’t get “compromised”

Yes, the idea according to an article is to remove those three states from the electoral count reducing Trump to 260 and Hillary to 210 some, thus getting the media to ask for a redo or calling Trump illegit compared to Obama.
