Kellogg pulls ads from Breitbart amid ‘concerns about hate speech’

Brands advertising on Breitbart have drawn flak in recent weeks, with activists saying the website espouses racist and anti-Semitic views. A screen shot showing an advertisement for Kellogg’s Frosted Mini Wheats was part of an online campaign to get marketers to abandon the site.

“We regularly work with our media-buying partners to ensure our ads do not appear on sites that aren’t aligned with our values as a company,” said Kris Charles, a spokeswoman for Kellogg, which also makes Frosted Flakes and Special K cereal. “We recently reviewed the list of sites where our ads can be placed and decided to discontinue advertising on Breitbart.com. We are working to remove our ads from that site.”

AppNexus, one of the biggest digital advertising services, barred Breitbart from using its ad-serving tools earlier this month because, it said, the publisher violated its hate-speech rules.

I don’t eat high-sugar cereals but I love their protein bars for camping!

To be clear it would seem that these huge multi-national corporations are run by the very “Elites” who for years have tried to tell us peasants how to think and act. They control huge sums of money and get paid huge sums of money - evidently causing them to think that they know what is best for the rest of us.

I will make sure to check the labels on everything I buy and avoid anything that is within the Kellogg family of companies. It is most likely true that the bulk of their product line is not made in the USA anyway.

Well, they started by making corn flakes for loonies. Guess they’ll end doing the same.

I took 4 grandsons camping about 3 weeks ago.

They would have been content to survive on hotdogs and marshmallows as long as they got to roast them over the campfire.

They probably would have even eaten Brussel sprouts if they could have held them over the campfire. :>)

This is the way the corporate globalists will try to silence anything on the right: starve them out of the internet because the pig MSM has the corporate globalists locked down or rather they have them locked down. So silence any opposing voices notwithstanding their opposition is based on lies.

I pulled my business from Kellogg years ago. Making childrens’ breakfast cereal full of sugar seems like a hate crime to me.

Well, it’s generic Frosted Flakes for me from now on. Sent them a tweet to let them know about it too.

“The new people at the helm of these companies are nuts.”

Yep, I am kind of baffled by this trend. They won’t gain a single new customer by getting political, but they risk losing at least 1/3 of their American customer base. All risk and no reward never makes a good business decision.

The spokesman is a liar, they just bowed to the lunatic left to pull their ads.
