An Ohio State University student plowed a car into a campus crowd, then jumped out and started stabbing people with a butcher knife before being shot dead by police Monday morning, officials said.
Ten people were taken to hospitals after the ambush, but none of the injuries were considered life-threatening. The incident was initially reported as an "active shooter" situation, but the suspect did not shoot anyone.
A police officer was on the scene within a minute and killed the assailant, likely saving lives, university officials said. "He engaged the suspect and eliminated the threat," OSU Police Chief Craig Stone said.

Abdul Razak Ali Artan has been identified as the Ohio State student who went on a stabbing rampage at the school on Monday, injuring eleven. The student newspaper shared this photo of Artan today. It is from an interview with him earlier this year

Earlier reports said that a fire alarm has been triggered and students were evacuating the building when the perpetrator drove into the crowd.
Has that been confirmed or refuted? Did the alarm precede or follow the attack?
If it preceded the attack, that's almost certainly evidence of the involvement of someone else. It seems much more than a coincidence.

I’m sure the media and liberals will experience angst about discerning any possible motive for this attack. It would be inconceivable to them that his Muslim faith was a factor.
Just waiting to hear if he was investigated or raised any red flags before this.
But I do love a happy ending. He’s eliminated and for now thank God no fatalities to report from this.
