Jill Stein posted to her Jill2016 website that she had raised enough money to file for a recount in Pennsylvania. However, the Green Party candidate left out some key details about the filing of recounts in Pennsylvania that many of her supporters likely would have wanted to know before donating. For example, candidates cannot file a direct request for a recount in the state and instead must appeal the election in court.

Stein noted that she was hoping to raise funds via grassroots efforts to demand that recounts take place in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Michigan. She claimed data has suggested a need for recounting machine-counted votes in these particular states, which also happen to be states that Trump unexpectedly beat Clinton.

Should all three states be overturned in a recount, Clinton would have enough electorates to win the election. However, Stein did not make the recount process clear for her donors. Her outline makes it sound as though a candidate can simply file for a recount if they raise enough funds for the filing fee.
While the filing fee and request is all that is needed in Wisconsin, her second state funded is much more complicated. Pennsylvania does not allow candidates to file a direct request for a recount, according to the Pennsylvania Election Code. Instead, the filing fee is simply the amount needed to appeal the results.

SHARE 99 TWEET While candidates cannot file a direct request for a recount, they may appeal the order or decision of any county board regarding the computation or canvassing of the returns of any primary or election, or regarding any recount or recanvass thereof. During the appeal process, the court may determine that a recount is necessary. Per Pennsylvania regulations, there is only one way remaining for Jill Stein to get a recount in Pennsylvania and it is a complicated process. BillyPenn reports that Stein would have to file for a court appeal and present a prima facie case showing that voter fraud took place. While prima facie has a lower burden of proof threshold than beyond reasonable doubt, it is still significant. Stein would have to prove in court that fraud was probable. This is going to be very difficult given that even the computer specialists recommending the recount say there is no proof of hacking or fraud.

The Obama administration echoed that by stating that the government did not observe any increased level of malicious cyber-activity aimed at disrupting our electoral process on election day. According to Newsmax, Obama is standing behind the results which indicate that Trump won the election, saying the election was free and fair from a cybersecurity perspective.
Elias also noted that in even the closest margin state, Michigan, Trumps win well exceeds the largest margin ever overcome in a recount. Therefore, Elias says that is why Clinton herself did not pursue a recount effort. However, since Stein has funded and initiated the effort, Elias says that Clinton will participate to ensure fairness.
Stein has maintained that the effort is not designed to overturn the election results, but rather to ensure transparency in the voting process. Stein has even criticized Clinton for joining her efforts so late in the game, calling her on-again, off-again about democracy.

I imagine it to be low but that low lol!!! She is widely despised.
For instance, my town (well, township) here in South Jersey has 38 voting districts. It leans Republican but there is usually at least a significant Dem representation. Trump destroyed her here by winning 36 of 38. Nothing would surprise me. She’s bloody awful.
Still want to play nicey nicey with her, Donald?
The Stein/Baraka Green Party Campaign is launching an effort to ensure the integrity of our elections. We are raising money to demand recounts in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania— three states where the data suggests significant discrepancies in vote totals.
To give you a sense of the problem, the voting machines used in Wisconsin were banned in California after they were shown to be highly vulnerable to hacking and malicious programming due to lacking security features.
“After a divisive and painful presidential race, reported hacks into voter and party databases and individual email accounts are causing many American to wonder if our election results are reliable. These concerns need to be investigated before the 2016 presidential election is certified. We deserve elections we can trust.” — Dr. Jill Stein.

Stein’s petition does not provide evidence that any voting machines used in Wisconsin were compromised by hacking or malicious programming. J. Alex Halderman, upon whose affidavit Stein premises her petition, said “Were this years deviations from pre-election polls the results of a cyberattack? Probably not. I believe the most likely explanation is that the polls were systematically wrong, rather than that the election was hacked.”
Stein’s petition claims than in increase in absentee voters is evidence of an irregularity. Stein’s petition does not provide evidence of any irregularity in the absentee vote process.
Stein’s petition does not provide evidence that any mistake, fraud, defect, irregularity, or illegality has occurred in the conduct of the election in Wisconsin.
Stein wants a recount in order to determine if there is any evidence to support her unsupported claims of irregularities.
Stein’s petition contains errors of fact. For example, the petition claims Arizonas voter registration systems were breached (petition item 3 a). Halderman’s affidavit cites an NBC news article to support this claim yet the NBC article clearly states “the state [Arizona] concluded that the system was not successfully breached.”
Stein has provided no evidence whatsoever of any irregularity occurring in the conduct of the election in Wisconsin. Halderman has provided no evidence whatsoever of any irregularity occurring in the conduct of the election in Wisconsin, indeed he has said that it is unlikely that the election was “hacked”.
Why is this recount occurring?
The election can not be disrupted so that Stein & Halderman may use it as a testbed for their theories.
>>Hmmmm, so you think this is a Clinton cash bleed?
No idea, but here are my theories in order of improbability:
1. Soros and Hillary have some method to flip all three states, and have the people in place, and the money, and the will to throw the nation in utter chaos simply to delegitamize the election. (.001%)
2. Soros has made a deal with Stein to run for gov. of MA and wants to illicitly shift 10M into a war bank for her for 2018 (10%)
3. Stein and the Greens want money to compete with the DNC (10%)
4. Stein is doing this for her own self betterment (20%)
5. The Clintons and or Soros know that the litigation/audits soon to visit the CF will hit on some very illegal money that may be used against Clinton but inevitably will show up as Soros money and may result in criminal election financing charges that will affect both Soros and his children and possibly result in criminal charges. This money (10-20M of it) needs to disappear from the CF. By Friday or so, the bots should have shuffled all of this money from the Foundation into Stein’s “recount”. (60%)
> the data suggests significant discrepancies in vote totals.
Discrepancies from your expectations and from prior years is what happens when you lose in a landslide.
It is not evidence of fraud, defect, irregularity, or illegality. It is evidence of your defeat.
The Republicans pushed the wording of the question more than the Dems because otherwise one of their few justices on the Supreme Court would’ve had to retire this year.
The deadline is 12/13 - and if she has to go to court .. there is no way they can make the 12/13 deadline ..??? At least I hope that will be the case.
And .. I believe this little stunt will prove that Hillary didn’t even get all the tally they claimed .. meaning .. there was already some cheating going on.
Well, let's see. Are there any RATs living there?
Then yup, there's some cheating going on.
At this point, what difference does it make?
I am counting on Trump's lawyers to run out the clock. Ought to be pretty easy with any court system. Bush v. Gore had a lot longer and the buzzer still went off before it was over.
She has to pay for the recounts because her % of votes is so small. That ismwhy soros set up bots to donste 160,000 dollars an hour to her web site.
People ask how do iknow its fake?
More people donsted 5 million to her in the last several days than she collected the entire time she campaigned for president. You dont get an 160,000 an hour almost exactly the same amount every hour with real random people donating.
The fact that this is even up for discussion is mind-boggling.
Look how her left eye is pointing inward way back then. Refutes the more recent brain trauma theory.
To prevent the EV’s to be counted. To somehow throw it to the courts. If no Supreme Court majority ruling it goes to the apeallate court ruling. A hail Mary for the dems, and the opening shot in CWII
damn accent? What are yinz talking about?
I dunno. Reads like a candidate can cherry pick counties in PA.
The media told her that H*****y was going to win, so since she didn't, that means there must have been fraud. /s
Amen! I refuse to spell out her name as well. I just use her initials in lowercase or just use ‘c’ since it fits her in several ways. I’m so sick of looking at someone I know should be rotting in prison along with every other accomplice in the crime syndicate.
Nah. Spend a little more and get a good AK. I don’t know why so many people like the little .223; it’s a varmint gun. Get a good Mosin Nagant 91 and a tin of ammo for those long shots. :) Good to go with some sturdy and reliable serious firepower without breaking the bank. Too many moving parts in the AR for my liking as well. I’m fond of the KISS principle in most things gun related.
