As the fortunes of each party ebb and flow election after election, we always here how the down and out party won’t be back soon, but it is until now. If Donald Trump does anything like what he’s promised, this will be the first time that a party doesn’t come back anytime soon. The difference is that unlike the “generic GOPe,” he’s actually going to do something other than sit home and play pocket pool like the GOPe does in the Congress every time they are given a chance to “lead.”
AFAIK, the recount is all about going after the votes not counted, if it would arguably appear that the uncounted votes could make a difference in the overall amount. With as many as 70,000 in the margin for Trump in Pennsylvania, it would likely take all the absentee or uncounted votes to be for Hillary to change who won that state. That’s just my state of Pennsylvania, I can’t say much for the others, but they don’t seem to have as close of a margin as what we had with Bush and Gore in Florida in 2,000.
