Yes, but it was really just a symbolic vote anyway, since Grant had a big majority of the electoral vote regardless of who got all the rest of them.

So, according to Wiki, 2 states failed to appoint (all) their electors.
Gee, you’d think they’d have been enthusiastic and all charged up to do it right the first time.
