Bridges ruled that the Republican party did not provide enough evidence that the disputed votes were ineligibleor for whom they were castto overturn the election. This is an important point to remember. Even documented evidence of massive numbers of people voting illegally in an election is not likely to support a challenge to an election result. The simple reason for this is that votes are cast anonymously, so there's really no way to tell -- unless you have sworn affidavits from people who voted telling you who they voted for -- which candidate received the illegal votes.
