Donald Trump to Meet with Sheriff David Clarke as He Plans Administration

President-elect Donald Trump plans to meet with Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke as he continues to vet possible candidates for his administration.

Trump transition team officials confirmed that the president-elect would meet with Clarke on Monday, after he returns to Trump Tower from his Thanksgiving trip to Mar-a-largo in Florida.

Officials did not say whether Trump is offering Clarke a position with his administration, but signaled interest in his opinions.

“The president elect meets with individuals who he believes he wants to hear their ideas, suggestions and opinions and then sometimes considers them for multiple potential positions,” Trump transition team’s Sean Spicer explained.

I’m thinking something like Deputy Secretary of Homeland Security or Homeland Security Adviser which are cabinet level (see Steve Bannon, Mike Flynn, KT McFarland) but no Senate confirmation needed.

These will be Trump’s inner circle where they control the agenda outside of the bureaucratic agencies.

As much as I love Arpaio, he's kinda getting on in years.
As for Clark, no to DHS. It's a BS administrative job and I think Congress should repeal it with something less intrusive that makes sure the various security agencies talk to each other.

I would be okay with Clark for FBI director just after Rudy. We need a strong LEO type and/or prosecutor in the FBI to back up Attorney General Sessions. Think what they could do to turn us back to a nation of laws!

Sorry, the US Marshals Service has become almost toothless. Clark would make a great FBI director. The man doesn't care who he offends (snowflakes), he just takes names and does his duty to his Oath.
