Who knows, they may be welcomed as liberators from EU tyranny.

This might be a case of Russia looking over its eastern shoulder.

The upgraded T-72 acquitted itself quite well in The Donbas. I suspect the T-80 series will as well.

According to a 2013 report by Global Fire Power, the United States has 8,325 tanks in use.
That was before he gave half of them to ISIS

The Soviets used to fortify their border defenses with tanks that were automotively kaput but with functioning turrets/main guns.
These vehicles were buried hull down with only their turrets showing, kind of Maginot style emplacements, pointing outward.

well....Russia is primarily a land power, and has to defend itself on land.
UK is (or was) primarily a sea power.
Tanks are the antithesis of Ivory Soap; they tend to sink in the sea. They are therefore less useful for UK than for Russia.

yeah...but by the end of the 2nd winter that's what sunk the Germans.... all those make believe tanks. The Germans had superior technology but numerical superiority and lack of concern for casualties makes for a nasty opponent.
It's all a game. Until Putin decides to defend the Russian citizens of Kallingrad Oblast with a couple of thousand of those tanks, some artillery and AA missiles. Then we'll see how these folks figure it out.

An A10 dream. Target rich environment. My only question is how many 30mm depleted uranium rounds do we have left? I suspect a WHOLE LOT!
