German mail service DHL said that it had not made certain personal deliveries through its express service to the Berlin district of Wedding due to fraud and attacks on their carriers, but tamped down reports of no-go areas.
A DHL spokesman told news agency DPA on Wednesday that the company has asked certain people who live in the Wedding neighborhood to pick up their packages at a DHL Express station in Wilmersdorf instead, noting that this policy has only been applied in a few isolated cases.
The spokesman further explained that DHL will ask recipients in the future to also pick up their packages when it is necessary.
Local Berlin media had reported on Wednesday about the stoppage, with newspapers like the Berliner Kurier writing about no-go areas.

Merkel legacy.
What. Are these neighborhoods like enclaves of German Tea Partiers or something?
I hear those Lutheran rape gangs can be brutal.
DHL doesn’t really serve my area like it used to any more either.
Of course Fedx and UPS and e mail ate their lunch for them
These are NOT NO GO areas. They are simply areas that the POLICE, the POSTMEN and anybody with a lick of sense WON’T GO.
Yeah... that’s the ticket.
Only alt-right racists claim there are no-go zones.

DHL announced there are areas that we will no longer go, but that doesn’t mean that they are “no-go” areas. Huh?
Kind of like South Chicago,Gary Indiana or East Cleveland.
“tamped down reports of no-go areas.” = “was threatened with lawsuits and jail if they accurately described what the areas are.”

Nice going, murkul.
Sickest of all is she is likely to win reelection. Self-loathing is strong in Germany post-WWII.
Like Hillary was likely to win back on November 8?
Well, I sure hope you’re right.
That makes two of us. Notwithstanding, there are worse than Merkel waiting in the wings, which is not an argument for a continued Merkel chancellery.
I’m not hopeful for Le Pen’s chances, either. And I don’t trust Fillon at all — he smells to me like Ted Cruz, a Trojan Horse.
I guess the good part about being pessimistic is you can only be pleasantly surprised.
